Pavey Group celebrates Exeter milestone

A Devon-based insurance and financial services company is celebrating its Exeter 10th anniversary.

Pavey Group opened its Exeter office at Pynes Hill Business Park in 2005, with just one employee and one client, expanding from its Torquay base.

Today the firm has a team of 31 people in the city and more than 2500 clients, having moved to offices at Peninsula Park on Rydon Lane in 2012.

Newton Abbot set for second evening fixture

It’s the second evening meeting of the summer at Newton Abbot on Thursday 30th April with the first race, the Newtonabbotrace On Twitter Maiden Hurdle, due off at 16.45.

Over 200 guests of Hospiscare enjoyed hearing from the renowned business guru Lord Digby Jones at a dinner held at the University of Exeter on Wednesday (22nd April) evening.

Lord Jones spoke to the local business community on diverse subjects such as his running of the London Marathon, being interviewed by Jeremy Paxman and the British success in Formula One.

Help clean up Exe Estuary

People are asked to meet at the Imperial Recreation Ground slipway in Exmouth at 2.30pm on Saturday 9 May, to spend a couple of hours cleaning up the estuary.

NAFAS say it with flowers

There’s no better way to say it than with flowers. Which is exactly why NAFAS (The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies) is using beautiful little bunches to spread some love around the UK on National Flower Arranging Day (Friday 1st May 2015).

The charity plans to distribute over 60,000 bouquets across the UK embracing ‘The Lonely Bouquet’ concept for the second year in a row. Across the Devon and Cornwall 56 clubs plan to distribute bouquets.

Exeter Uni top for international students

The University of Exeter has won a prestigious award for providing the best international student experience of any university in the UK.

The University secured the celebrated ‘International Student Choice Category’ at the Whatuni Student Choice awards, held on Thursday, 23 April.

Late change to Chiefs squad

Exeter Chiefs have been forced to make a late change to their squad for today's Aviva Premiership clash with Wasps at the Ricoh Arena (2pm).
