New paddling pools work to start in Heavitree soon

Work to create new paddling pools in Heavitree is to begin shortly after ageing infrastructure forced the current pools to close for the summer, the City Council has revealed.

The pools had reopened to families at the beginning of June but were forced to close on Friday after some of the mechanics failed.

Free family fun returns to Exeter Quay

Families can enjoy a summer of free activities down by Exeter’s waterside.

Running every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday during the school holidays, the Transit Shed and Piazza will be hosting creative and hands-on activities for all ages.

After the huge success of last year’s Summer at the Quayside, Exeter’s historic quayside area will again be home to a jam-packed programme of fun and quirky activities for all the family. Devon NHS issues hay fever advice as hot weather increases pollen impact

Hay fever is usually worse between late March and September, especially when it's warm, humid and windy. This is when the pollen count is at its highest.
