WESC Foundation – The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment is proud to announce the opening of their sixth Social Enterprise Charity Shop in Cowick Street, St Thomas.

Based in Exeter, WESC Foundation is a school and college that supports visually impaired learners, many of whom also have complex needs, from across the South West as well as providing outreach services to mainstream schools and colleges.

Success for Exeter City Swimming Club in regional champs

Exeter City Swimming Club had a hugely successful South West Regional event this year with more of its swimmers than ever achieving the qualifying times required to enter. In total 43 swimmers qualified with 39 swimmers taking part in 182 individual races, with 47 finals being swum and a total of 20 medals achieved. All those that took part either beat their entry times or confirmed personal best times which is excellent given the hard racing they had taken part in recently.

The Master Innholder Scholarships opened for applications on 25 April 2016 for the 2017 intake of its next-level management training courses.

The fully-funded scholarships are open to both general managers and heads of departments regardless of where they work within the UK hospitality industry.

Candidates must demonstrate clear management potential and priority is given to those who are in the greatest need of financial support recognising that small, independent businesses can lack the resources to offer comprehensive training opportunities to their management.

SWH Group’s National Skills Academy for Construction (NSAfC) has just received accreditation from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) for a further three years.

Retirement and protection specialist LV= has launched a campaign of health advice and training after one of its employees suffered a cardiac arrest.
