Exeter accountants Haines Watts get into the spirit of art

A new cocktail was created on behalf of Chartered Accountants, Haines Watts at an exclusive awards ceremony and exhibition opening at Exeter Phoenix.

Sponsors of the main £1000 award for the National Open Contemporary Art Award at Exeter Phoenix for the 7th consecutive year, the innovative accountants wanted to put a new twist on this year’s pre-view event by running a competition to name the new cocktail inspired by the artwork on display.

Exeter Contemporary Open 2012 Winner Announced

At an exclusive awards ceremony and exhibition opening at Exeter Phoenix last night, Olivier Larivière was announced as the recipient of the main £1000 award for the Exeter Contemporary Open 2012. The judges – artist S Mark Gubb, independent curator Paula Orrell and Phoenix gallery curator Matt Burrows faced a tough decision to select three award winners from the nine exhibiting artists. Olivier's paintings however, a series of images depicting people handling wild animals, were seen to stand out as particularly strong.
