The critically-acclaimed kids game show Blue Badge Bunch is coming to Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 11th November as part of its 2023 UK tour, fresh off the back of a hit Edinburgh Fringe run at The Pleasance.

Exeter original band “no ordinary fish” are playing a gig at Exeter Phoenix Studio 1 on Sunday 8th October from 7.30-9.30pm to release their 2nd album “Adverse Camber”. Tickets cost £5 and proceeds from ticket sales will go to the charity Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis as drummer/singer Stu has the condition and recently had to quit teaching after 25 years ...how many singing drummers do you know with MS?! CDs, t-shirts, baseball caps and tote bags will also be on sale.

‘Toys of Innocence and Experience’ - the art show that WANTS visitors to play with its exhibits!

In this show toys are used as a vehicle for satire and social comment. Either by playing with them, or on close inspection, participants discover that these toys aren’t so innocent. Indeed, some of the twenty-five toys in the show might possibly be found to be disturbing, or even shocking. At the very least they cannot be described simply as sculptures. They are more like stimulators for the formation of thoughts - thoughts about society and the world we live in.

Billie Bottle’s Temple of Shibboleth are delighted to announce that they are bringing their Mending Tour to Exeter Phoenix on Sun 4th June.

The tour is promoting the release of their eponymous debut album, produced by George Shilling (Blur/Primal Scream/Bjork). The night will also feature folktronica duo, Solarference.

For the 12th year running, Exeter Phoenix are inviting people to take part in a free 48 Hour Film Challenge. No previous filmmaking experience is needed – just a good imagination and a camera. Teams will be given a theme, a prop and a line of dialogue before setting off on their mission. The challenge will take place between 9th-11th November. The challenge is part of Two Short Nights Film Festival, Exeter Phoenix’s annual celebration of all things short film. Completed films will be screened at the festival on Friday 30th November and are in with a chance of winning two festival awards....
