One for all the family – join us for our Season Opener on Easter Saturday 31 March. It’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a day out with family and friends over the weekend. Bringing the children? Be sure to arrive early as the first 200 children through the gates on the day will receive a FREE Easter egg to set the day off to a winning start!

Gates open at 11:45 with the first race at 13:45.

The last race is at 17:15.

Devon’s Top Attractions are getting ready for a Spooktacular half term of fun and Halloween happenings and will be offering the very best selection of scary fun and spooky surprises.

A spell will be cast across the county this October Half Term with many ‘trick or treats’ on offer. From bats to broomsticks, pumpkins to parties, it’s all going on! There will be lots of low key Halloween and pumpkin fun for the preschoolers and younger ones and lots of spine-chilling frightful fun for the older children.

Fun on the Water in Mid Devon

Families have the chance to try a range of water based activities at the Grand Western Canal Country Park’s ’Fun on the Water' day later this month.

Stand-up paddle boarding, rowing boat and Canadian Canoe hire sessions as well as model boating and pond dipping are on offer.

The event is being held at the Grand Western Canal Basin on Saturday 13 May 2017 between 11am and 3pm.

Professional stand-up paddleboarding instructor Rob McPaddling will hold a free taster session.

If you want to give it a go please make sure you bring a spare set of clothes and towel...

National Adoption Week 2016 kicks off on Monday 17 October with this year’s South West campaign focusing on the needs of individual children currently waiting to be adopted. Adopt South West is highlighting the fact that there are children waiting to be adopted in Devon and Somerset, and all partner agencies are looking to assess potential adopters now.
