Thank you so much to our amazing Big Beacon Clean Team - you did an amazing job! Our lovely Beacon Community Centre in Beacon Lane, Exeter, is now safer, brighter and cleaner.

The steps and paths are jet washed, windows cleaned, the kitchen cupboards and main storeroom have had a good clear out, the giant hedge lowered and the weeds have gone!

This was our second BIg Beacon Clean - we're aiming to hold one every three months, to keep the place in good condition to welcome the hundreds of people who visit every week.

Hard work, dedication, wonderful horses and spectacular scenery have earned Babeny Farm Stables in Dartmoor a prestigious award at the Herald Express South Devon and English Riviera Tourism and Hospitality Awards.

Proprietor Dee Dee Wilkinson was presented with a Silver in the Tourism Event or Sporting Activity category at the ceremony which was held at the Riviera International Conference Centre last week.

The stables are located at Poundsgate in the heart of Dartmoor and between April and October provide trail riding experiences across Dartmoor’s stunning landscape...

City Lawyers Celebrate Cinic's Success

A FREE legal clinic has been declared a success in supporting families involved in child custody disputes at the Exeter Family Court and is looking to help more people.

An information stall was held this week at the city’s Combined Court to promote the free monthly, Exeter Family Court Clinic. Since the clinic opened in May, a total of 20 families have been helped and during National Pro Bono Week (6-11 Nov) local lawyers are keen to help more people who cannot afford legal advice to represent themselves in a Family Court case and to guide them towards other support services....

Fire crews battle Exeter factory blaze

Fire Control received two calls from on-site staff at a factory on Kestrel Way, Exeter, reporting that alarms had activated and there was a fire in the casting plant within the foundry section of the factory.

The blaze started at around 1.26am today (SATURDAY) at Arconic on Sowton Industrial Estate.
