Thousands raised for Princesshay’s charity of the year

Princesshay has announced it has raised more than £17,000 for its charity of the year, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

A car raffle in partnership with Snows Toyota & Lexus Exeter raised over £11,200 alone for the charity, with the winning ticket drawn on 23rd December of the brand new car.

Man found dead in Exeter identified

An man who was found dead at a property on Mount Pleasant Road in Exeter has been identified as 31-year-old Daniel Sandu.

Police were notified at around 5.50am on Friday 12 January 2018 to the address in Exeter. The man has been formally identified and his next of kin are aware.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries.

The 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been bailed until the 9th of February 2018.

The biggest and brightest event of the summer is back! Join Children’s Hospice South West for its annual Rainbow Run on Saturday 9 June at Westpoint, Exeter.


It’s the happiest 5k around and a great way to support your local children’s hospice. You can run, walk or jog through colourful explosions of paint, and anyone aged 5 years and over can join in.

Radio Exe will be our hosts again, so gather your friends, family or work colleagues to enter at this crazily colourful event and help the charity to make the most of short and precious lives.

The exceptional achievements of students at Exeter College have been celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony.

Family donate Cuddle Cot to RD&E’s labour ward

A family from Exeter have donated a Cuddle Cot to the Labour Ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in memory of their son Louie.

The cot enables bereaved parents to spend more time with their babies if they are stillborn or pass away shortly after birth. The cooling cot can be wrapped around a baby allowing parents to stay with them for longer and giving other family members a chance to say goodbye.
