Encourage a bumper harvest in Cranbrook

Walk down to the Orchard along Oakbeer Orchard with the Country Park ranger and help to encourage a bumper harvest at Cranbrook by wassailing!

Bring along a noisy instrument and help to scare away the evil spirits through wassailing songs as they did in the past.

A great morning of fun for all ages.

Hundreds of trick or treaters welcomed to Exeter home

Hundreds of trick or treaters enjoyed free hot choccie, sweets and homemade cakes at the Beacon Heath home of the lovely McHutchon family.

Gemma and Mark, with their friends from Isca Church, which is based in Beacon Heath, host this event every Halloween.

Golden celebration day for graduates of ‘Gold-rated’ college

University level students at ‘Gold’ rated Exeter College celebrated their graduation in the spectacular surroundings of Exeter Cathedral.

More than 165 students from the Centre for University Level Studies donned their caps and gowns for a grand procession through the city centre on their way to the Cathedral (Friday, October 20th).

This year’s graduation comes after a year of success for University Level studies at Exeter College – with the college awarded a prestigious ‘Gold’ rating in the UK Government’s assessment of teaching excellence in higher education.
