Gonzo Moose Theatre Company are back with their comedy adventure Once Upon A Time . The 90 minute show is packed full of hilarious slapstick, verbal wit, live music and even has a sensational death-defying finale, and will be at Exeter Phoenix on Tuesday 28th January.

Exeter Phoenix reveals plans to create a solar-powered auditorium

Exeter Phoenix have announced exciting plans for creating a solar-powered auditorium, paving a greener future for the arts in Exeter.

If Exeter Phoenix can raise £3,000 by Monday 16th December, the M&S Energy Community Fund could grant the venue the additional funds needed to replace the existing auditorium lights with a greener LED lighting system. These would be powered by the existing solar panels on the venue’s roof, creating the city’s first solar-powered auditorium.

All big hits, all great songs, all written and sung by Hugh Cornwell, the songwriter behind The Stranglers. He is the hitman and he’s back with a new album ‘Monster’ this Autumn on Sony Music.

Hugh will be bringing his set to the Exeter Phoenic on November 24.

Expect an opening set of prime solo songs, including picks from ‘Monster’, followed by a storming set of those iconic hits, sung and played by the man himself and his band.

Exeter Phoenix chosen as Community Fund finalist

RGB Building Supplies has selected Exeter Phoenix as a finalist in its Well Built Community Fund and it’s now down to a public vote to see if it’s chosen to receive £1,000 worth of building materials.

The arts centre is a multi-art form venue providing the community with access to contemporary visual arts, digital, film music and theatre. As well as housing a number of creative organisations, the centre provides a space for local people to hold classes, and offers advice, support and guidance to artists, and those who aim to be professional artists.

This summer, Exeter Phoenix are delighted to be widening their activity to include events from the National Theatre Live and Royal Shakespeare Company Live. At two special introductory events, the venue will be broadcasting live performances of the National Theatre’s Small Island and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Measure For Measure into the city-centre cinema space, Studio 74.
