Fresh off the back of their national Spring tour of Dick Tracy and a packed summer season performing at festivals such as Glastonbury and Kleines Fest im Großen Garten in Hannover, Germany, Exeter's award-winning physical comedy theatre company, Le Navet Bete, are bringing the indoor version of their hugely popular street show, Extravaganza, to Exeter Phoenix on 26th and 27th August 2015 .

In the run up to Exeter’s outdoor cinema event Big Screen In The Park, the gnomes from Amelie have gone on holiday!

They can be found living it up in some of Exeter’s favourite locations, including cafes, independent shops and tourist destinations. So far the gnomes have been spotted in all kinds of places, from the cake display The Glorious Art House on Fore Street, to the book shelves of Exeter Central Library and hiding amongst the broad beans in The Real Food Store. With another exciting mix of music, performance, art and film, Exeter Phoenix is set to launch a summer of fun.

Cancer survivor's event a big success

Exeter’s very special mini-indoor festival GemFest 2015 was a huge success – raising money for Hospiscare and lots of smiles from happy festival goers.

GemFest featured an afternoon of family fun at the Exeter Phoenix Centre, with lots of music, games, face painting and Easter eggs, with great music from Teens Support Hospiscare.

The evening saw an amazing line up of local talent featuring an eclectic mix of music, comedy, poetry, DJ’s and more.

Exeter Phoenix wins Arts Council funding

Exeter Phoenix is to receive £320,745 from the Arts Council’s Capital funding programme to revamp the building’s facilities and develop their digital resources to enhance audience experiences.

They are one of five organisations in the south west that have been awarded a total of £1.25 million towards developing the sustainability and resilience of their buildings in the third round of Arts Council England’s small scale Capital funding scheme.
