Year 11 pupils runners up in national competition

Two Exeter School pupils are runners up in a national competition organised by the Oxford German Network.

Upper Fifth Formers (Year 11) pupils Rebecca Richardson and Abby Pelling took part in the German For The Future competition, part of the Oxford German Olympiad 2014, during their GCSE exams.

They had to fill in a two-page survey in German answering questions about what primary school children should learn about in their German lessons and why; which Bruder Grimm fairy tales they would recommend be told to children and why; and which German speaking town or area would be...

The Contemporary Craft Festival at Bovey Tracey is one of the key events in the national crafts calendar. Almost 200 makers from all over Britain will be demonstrating, selling and talking about their work.

NFU and Tractor Ted launch kid's competition

The NFU and popular children’s series Tractor Ted have joined forces to launch a brand new competition with a prize worth over £1000.

The competition encourages 4-7 year olds to think about where their food comes from by playing a matching up game.

The prize of a visit from Tractor Ted’s Little Farm Live will give one youngster the chance to experience a farm, with real live animals, in their back garden, local park or school playground for the day. The winner and their friends will also have the chance to play on Tractor Ted’s unique giant bouncy tractor and slide....

Specsavers in Exeter is encouraging young designers to get creative with an Easter-themed colouring competition.

Specsavers Exeter, located at 247 High Street, has called on primary school children to get crafty and create a bespoke Easter egg, with the winner receiving an art kit and a free Easter Egg.

Students from the University of Exeter have created an innovative system to help reduce vehicle emissions, as part of their entry for a prestigious national completion.

Computer Science undergraduates Nicholas Sanders and Humphrey Shotton have designed a new system that allows motorists to see whether spaces are available in car parks.
