Devon and Cornwall Police can confirm that a 12-year-old boy who sustained serious head injuries whilst spectating at a football match at Bradninch Football club on Saturday 12th September has died overnight.
He was airlifted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital following the incident before being transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital where he later died.
The youngster was hurt during a game between Bradsninch and Bampton on Saturday.
A police spokesman said: "Our sympathy and thoughts are with the family".
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Hatherleigh on Friday 11 September.
At around 5.35pm a yellow Vauxhall Astra van and a black Mitsubishi Outlander were involved in a collision on the A386 Station Road at Meethe.
The 32-year-old male driver of the Astra, from Torrington, sustained serious internal injuries and was airlifted to the North Devon District Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The female driver of the Outlander, aged 40, from Beaworthy, suffered minor injuries....
The A30 was closed westbound and there were major delays between Daisy Mount Cross in West Hill and the B3184 junction in Clyst Honiton following a serious accident.
The accident involved a car and an ariculated lorry at around 7am.
A police spokesman said the driver of the car had been air lifted to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
All lanes are now open and traffic is easing after earlier accident investigation work on A38 near Chudleigh.
Emergency services were called at 3.45am (Monday 17 August) after a Ford Transit van left the road and collided with a tree near to the Chudleigh turn off.

The man has been identified as 77-year old Eric Carnell of Bartholomew Street West in Exeter.
