Road closed due to serious crash near Exeter Airport

A serious accident has closed the A30 between Junction 29 of the M5 and Daisy Mount Cross, near Exeter Airport.

Police have not released any details but the crash was reported to be between two silver cars which both suffered front end damage.

The accient is said to be on the Honiton-bound carriageway and diversions are in place.

Two people are in a serious condition in hospital, one critical, following an incident which closed the A30 in both directions early on Sunday morning. The road was blocked for twelve hours between the M5 at Junction 29, Exeter, and Daisy Mount Cross from around half past midnight. Two silver cars, a Vauxhall Astra and a Seat Altea are believed to have been travelling in opposite directions near Exeter Airport when they collided head-on. A 48-year-old female passenger in the Seat, who is from Ottery St Mary, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with life-threatening multiple...
