A new initiative that uses superheroes to teach Religious Education at a school in Cornwall has won a national award.
The distinctive characters, called Know-it-all-Nicky, Debate-it-all-Derek, Ask-it-all-Ava and Have-a-go-Hugo, were created by a University of Exeter education expert in collaboration with a primary school specialist leader of education from Sir Robert Geffrey’s School in Saltash.

A lost novel by a popular World War One soldier poet has been discovered in a garage and turned into a play which is soon to be performed at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.
FW Harvey was best known for his poetry and came to be seen as the voice of the Gloucestershire soldier and later of the prisoner of war.

Budding actors ( over the age of 18) are being given the opportunity to attend a fantastic five day course at the Cygnet Theatre.
The course will explore voice, scene work, character development, movement and improvisation leading to an informal showing of work in progress on the final afternoon.
This is an introduction to the types of work undertaken in vocational training. There will be an opportunity to audition for the Cygnet Company to anyone interested.
The course will take place between the dates of: Monday 4th August – Friday 8th August
