A man who fly-tipped old painting and decorating materials has been fined by Exeter City Council after being caught on camera by a member of the public.
The offender was issued with a £400 fixed penalty notice but this was reduced to £200 after it was paid within 14 days.
The City Council has commended the complainant, who filmed the offender dumping the rubbish next to some rubbish bins on a residential road, and urged people living in Exeter to keep an eye out for anyone else seen fly-tipping.

Fire appliances from Tiverton, Cullompton and Middlemoor, along with the water bowser from Danes Castle were mobilised to a report of a barn on fire at Lower Town near Halberton at 1.45 this afternoon (12 August).
Upon arrival the crews requested a further three appliances due to smoke and flames issuing. These cane from Wellington, Danes Castle and Witheridge together with the Incident Command Unit from Honiton.
