Office dress-codes go out of the window when it comes to working from home, with nearly a fifth of Exeter’s workforce confessing to working in their pyjamas.
Workplace provider Regus asked 3000 professionals in the UK about home working habits, and results showed an anything goes attitude when away from work colleagues. Exeter respondents showed a relaxed attitude to the home working business day with 19 percent working for some of the time in their pyjamas, and 16 percent even confessing to conducting business in their underwear.
Patients treated for cancer at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital have highly rated the level of care they received in the 2015 National Cancer Patient Experience Survey.
In its fifth year, the NHS England National Cancer Patient Experience Survey is designed to monitor national progress on cancer care, to drive forward quality improvements, and to inform the work of groups supporting patients. Organisations are rated as being ‘lower’, ‘within’ or ‘higher’ than an expected range.
At the RD&E, 1,044 cancer patients took part in the survey, with response rate of 76%....

Plymouth Science Park hosted a sell-out free Women in Business Networking workshop designed to help businesswomen to address limiting self-beliefs and help their businesses to grow.
The course, run by coaching organisation In Good Company, encouraged delegates to identify and overcome elements that hold them and their businesses back.

Children at Ladysmith Junior School in Exeter received a visit from Bob the Builder who talked to them about the build of their new school and the importance of site safety.
As part of the visit, pupils took part in a competition to have their art work displayed on hoarding around the construction site.
