Chiefs side to face Gloucester

There may be one round of the scheduled Aviva Premiership season to go, but there is still plenty to do for Rob Baxter and his Exeter Chiefs over the coming weeks.

It starts tomorrow at Kingsholm where Gloucester lie in wait in Round 22 of this season’s competition (4pm).

The Chiefs will head up the M5 safe in the knowledge that they are already assured of a place in the end of season play-offs, but it’s whether they have home advantage that will be uppermost in their thoughts ahead of kick-off.

2017 Devon Sports Awards finalists announced

The finalists for the prestigious 2017 Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards have been announced and all 30 are outstanding. To mark the 20th year of the awards there are some exciting new categories and the finalists include people from all aspects of community sport from coaches and volunteers to sportspeople from a really diverse range of sports.

Bridge Road in Exeter closed this weekend

Road users are being reminded that Bridge Road in Exeter will be closed from 10pm tomorrow (Friday 5 May) until 5am on Monday 8 May.

The closure will enable work to continue on the installation of cantilever beams and spans for the Countess Wear pedestrian and cycle bridge.

The diversion route will be signed via Topsham Road, Alphington Road, Marsh Barton and the A379. Details of the diversion route are available here .

Chief Thomas to call time on Exeter career
