An international team of scientists, led by mathematicians from the University of Exeter’s Living Systems Institute, have developed a ground-breaking new method that can identify regions of brain tissue most likely to generate seizures in people with epilepsy.
The innovative new method, which utilizes mathematical modelling, offers the potential to complement existing clinical approaches and could lead to enhanced surgical outcomes.
The new research is published in leading scientific journal, PLOS Computational Biology on August 17 2017.

Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles was the first major work commissioned by the award-winning professional vocal ensemble, Tenebrae, in 2005 and having received high acclaim (“an evocative odyssey” – The Times) returns this year for an extensive UK tour alongside choral favourites such as Stanford's 'The Blue Bird' and works by EElgar and Tavener.
To accompany its revival, Tenebrae has commissioned a unique new choral work by Owain Park, Footsteps, which allows Tenebrae to perform alongside Antiphon and marks Tenebrae’s fifteenth-anniversary season.
Following a phenomenal set at Download Festival and the release of their top 40 album 'The Optimist' Anathema will play Exeter next month on 29th Sept at the Phoenix.
