Mr Darcy Loses the Plot
Friday, 7.30pm, Cygnet Theatre, Exeter 
Jane Austen is dreaming up Darcy, a proud, lip-curling handsome creation in very tight pants.  But then a door squeaks, a visitor approaches and Jane hastily hides her work.  Mr Darcy is left dangling.  Left to his own devices he embroiders his own storyline while his creator stitches her quilt. When she returns she finds Darcy is diving into a lake in a clinging white shirt, dancing the Berzerka (a more extreme version of the Masurka) and wrestling carp. Tickets £15. https://cygnettheatre.co.uk

Halloween Murder Mystery Evening: Dolly
Saturday, 7pm, Northcott Theatre, Exeter
A special Halloween themed evening of great food and a haunting tale involving a mysterious doll. Here are no such things as ghosts…are there?  After a close knit family inherit a battered and bruised doll they accept it politely enough, after all it must have been loved and cared for in the past…or so they think.  They name her Dolly, but soon after Dolly arrives in the house strange things start to happen. The Night Pirates

Adapted from the best-selling children’s book by Peter Harris and Deborah Allwright, The Night Pirates tells the tale of a group of little girl pirates who descend on a young boy called Tom at bedtime. Eager to join the pirate adventure, Tom uses his house as a pirate ship and sets sail to retrieve stolen treasure from Captain Patch and the bumbling grown-up pirates. Pumpkin trail  
Daily, Killerton Estate, Broadclyst, Exeter
Enjoy exploring off the beaten track to come across secret paths, the Bear's hut and the ice house. Crunch leaves underfoot while you take in the natural beauty of the changing season. 11am-4pm.  This is a free trail, but normal admission fees apply. National Trust members free.

A Wild Night In
Saturday, 6pm, RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter

17th Alphington Scout Group Annual Fireworks Display
Sunday Oct 29, Scout HQ, Clapperbrook Lane, Alphington, Exeter
Gates open 6pm, bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm and the fireworks display starts at 7.15pm. Admission £5 adults, £3 under 16s. Drinks, Soup and Sweets available. All welcome!
