The Donkey Sanctuary’s 50th anniversary celebrations continues as its multi-award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden has been re-built back at the charity’s international headquarters in Sidmouth, Devon. The garden will open to visitors from Monday 15 July and like the Sanctuary, will be free of charge for people to visit.

Installation to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon landing

Exeter sound artist, Simon Belshaw, has created an ainstallation that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. It will be installed in St Thomas Library from Tuesday 16th July for a period of two weeks.

The piece uses Neil Armstrong's famous "That's one small step for man one giant lepa for mankind" speech that he made as he stepped onto the surface of the moon for the first time. The work is encased in a display box similar tothe type you woyuld find in a museum.

The piece was funded using Kickstarter and has been built over the past couple of weeks....
