Exeter celebrates two winners in the 2019 Michelmores Property Awards

Chester Long Court in Exeter, has won the Residential Project of the Year (35 units and under) in the Michelmores Property Awards. This project led by Exeter City has been built in a Passivhaus standard, which offers low energy requirements for tenants. The Chester Long Court project has created 26 homes consisting of one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, with the aim of encouraging Council tenants to 'right-size'.

Representatives from Barclays visited the charity’s international headquarters in Sidmouth where they presented staff with an engraved Dartington Crystal glass vase. New-build house wiring specialists Clarkson Evans, who employ 66 people at their branches in Exeter and Plymouth are celebrating after scooping a major award at one of the electrical industry’s biggest events of the year.

Chagford Library unveils locally inspired mural by nationally renowned artist

Chagford Library has officially unveiled its unique new mural, thanks to support from its local Friends Group and the talents of a local artist.

The mural, which is inspired by the local surroundings and local characters, was commissioned by the Friends Group and was hand painted by local artist Steve Dooley, who is well-known for his murals and illustrations of author Kenneth Grahame’s classic characters from Wind in the Willows.
