No dramatic ending, no clean break, just a gradual realisation that something significant is coming to a close. Running from Wednesday 29th January to Saturday 1st February at Exeter Northcott Theatre, the University of Exeter's musical theatre society, Footlights, presents a fantastic performance of Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story.

A modern-day take on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet, this is one of the most well-loved and well-known musicals of all time. Theatre buddy scheme bridges generation gap

After the success of their inaugural event, the Theatre Buddy Scheme will return on 1st February as student volunteers invite elderly residents of a local care home to join them for an afternoon of musical theatre.

Chelsea's famous bad boy Spencer Matthews proved a hit with locals when he made a public appearance at Timepiece in Exeter.

A Plymouth student is investigating whether women still purchase glossy magazines in print.

Caitlin Green, who is studying journalism at the University of St Mark and St John, is researching whether women still buy their glossy magazines in print or if they are now downloading them on devices such as Ipads and e readers.

Caitlin is urging the people of Devon to get involved with her study by completing two questionnaires.

A budding Mathematician from the University of Exeter has been crowned the UK’s best and brightest student after winning a prestigious national competition.

St James' Park packed for Christmas carols

This Monday (9th December) saw a wonderfully festive celebration in St James' Park.

It promised to be one of the UK’s biggest carol services, transforming the home of Exeter’s football club into a hub of festive cheer.

The stadium filled up in a matter of minutes, as more than 3,500 locals and students flocked to sing a selection of traditional carols and hear about the meaning of Christmas. It was a real joy to see so many people, of all ages, wrapped up and enjoying themselves (and the free mince pies)!
