Exeter Chiefs prop Harry Williams admits it was an ‘easy decision’ to put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the current Gallagher Premiership leaders.

The England international has been at Sandy Park since 2015, joining the Devon club from Championship outfit Jersey Reds, and he has since established himself as an integral part of the much-vaunted Chiefs pack of forwards.

Part of the club’s Premiership-winning side of 2017, the 28-year-old tight-head has made just shy of 100 first-team appearances, scoring ten tries in the process.

England coach Eddie Jones may have talked tough about his squad bringing a “brutal physicality” to this year’s Six Nations, but it was actually France who doled out the punishment during their opening clash in Paris. On the plus side for England, they did have the consolation of winning a bonus point thanks to a late penalty by Owen Farrell. This meant they didn’t end the...

We are getting to the business end of the season. A sudden bad run of results now will derail all the hard work of the previous eight months. So which will it be for The Grecians?

Increased Expectations

At the beginning of the season, Exeter City, their fans and players were hoping for, and indeed expecting nothing less than a play-off spot. Signs were certainly good as...

Having accrued decent victories over Gloucester and Northampton Saints, the table-topping Chiefs were undone at the death last weekend as Harlequins secured a 34-30 victory, courtesy of a penalty try deep into added on time.

Despite the defeat, the Chiefs still lead the way after 12 rounds of battle and Head Coach Hepher is hoping that lofty position remains firmly in place...
