Bridge Road in Exeter closed overnight

Bridge Road in Exeter is due to be closed overnight on Monday 5 June for ongoing improvement work.

The road will be closed from 8:30pm and will re-open by 5:30am the following day.

Bet365 to start building work on training and leisure centre at Etruria Valley

Building work is due to start shortly on the sports hall and staff training facility that Bet365 is building in the Erturia Valley. Bet365 already has offices in this location and the new facility will be built on neighbouring land. Exeter Foundation Big Walk returns

The date of the 2017 Exeter Foundation Big Walk has been confirmed as Saturday, 19th August.

The event will combine walking 10 miles in aid of the charity of the Chiefs' with watching two Exeter Chiefs pre-season games, with the recently crowned Premiership champions playing Cornish Pirates and Newport Gwent Dragons in a double-header.

Five Devon volunteer groups have received the Royal seal of approval and honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2017.

The award, the highest given each year to volunteer groups, sets the benchmark for excellence in volunteering and is equivalent in status to the MBE.

Countdown begins to start of new recycling and waste service in East Devon

More than 50,000 households in East Devon are just a few weeks away from being able to recycle more items than ever before when a new improved weekly recycling collection is introduced district-wide by the council from Monday June 12.
