Matthew Bird of Devon Renewables Ltd in Exeter has been shortlisted for Best Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Installer (Best HVAC Installer) at the Heating Installer Awards 2026.

Dr Jemma Wood from Exeter has been awarded a prize by the IBMS. The Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) awarded its Company Members prize in Diploma of Expert Practice (DEP) to Jemma at their AGM. Summer brings award success to the shores of Exmouth with the Grapevine Brewhouse, on site brewery Crossed Anchors and resident Ruby Kitchen all winning regional awards.

At the Taste of the West Awards Crossed Anchors won four GOLD product awards for their craft beers. Paddy O’Riordan said “ We are over the moon with these awards, it’s our first year of mainstream production and to win four such important awards is a huge endorsement of our beer, its great news for the brewery and also for Exmouth”

Devon Air Ambulance’s annual Motorcycle Ride Out returns

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) are excited to announce that this year’s Motorcycle Ride Out, sponsored by Bridge Motorcycles, will return to the Den, Teignmouth on Sunday 9th July 2017.

It is anticipated in the region of 1000 bikes will enter this year’s Ride Out which will start from Trago Mills, Newton Abbot, from where the bikes will set off in small groups from 10:30am.

Registration will open at 9am. The bikes will then follow an approximate 80 miles marshalled route through the stunning Devon countryside before arriving at the Den, Teignmouth, from lunch time.

Stagecoach South West has donated 100 travel vouchers providing much needed support to asylum seekers and refugees living in and around Exeter.

PKF Francis Clark supports £5.25m funding for community wind project

An Exeter accountancy firm has played a leading role in a major community wind project.

PKF Francis Clark provided financial advisory and financial modelling services for the 4.7MW onshore wind farm at Mynydd y Gwrhyd, 20 miles north of Swansea, South Wales.

A project finance facility of £5.25m, completed on May 18, was provided by Triodos bank repayable over a 15 year term.
