Local graffiti artists have given the subway at Exe Bridges in Exeter a colourful facelift.

The project, organised by Devon County Council and Miss*C’s Graffiti Academy, has over recent weekends seen local graffiti artists donating their time for free to revitalise the subways.

Councillor Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council Cabinet member for Highway Management, said: “We’re pleased to be able to continue our link with Miss*C’s Graffiti Academy. Local artists have kindly given their time for free to help brighten up this area. The subway now looks more in line with the artwork we've seen on other parts of Exe Bridges and I’m delighted that this project has received some positive feedback.”

Cleo Heard, who runs Miss*C’s Graffiti Academy, said: “It’s a wonderful opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent and has been incredibly well received by passers-by.  The Subways have been a carefully created project supported by Devon County Council who also sponsored the paint and have played a big part in the City’s recent Art Week Exeter."
