The Exeter branch of Yorkshire Building Society will be holding an action day on Thursday, May 25, in support of its charity partnership with End Youth Homelessness (EYH).

Colleagues at the branch on the High Street will be selling cakes, holding a guess the sweets in the jar competition and selling EYH trolley coin key rings in support of the partnership.

Devon County Show opened its gates on the first day to huge crowds who flocked to enjoy the very best that the county has to offer.

HRH The Countess of Wessex, President of the Devon County Agricultural Association which runs the Show, spent a busy day presenting awards, watching events and demonstrations by sheep shearers and blacksmiths as well as meeting many of the Show’s army of volunteers.

Police are appealing for information after an Exmouth man’s vehicle was damaged by vandals.

The black VW Jetta was targeted by three men around 10.55pm on Saturday 29 April in Cleveland Place, Exmouth.

The roof of the vehicle was dented causing approximately £4000 worth of damage.

After the incident, the men walked through the alleyway next to Garners Home Hardware and onto The Strand.
