It’s a fresh line up for independent electrical wholesaler Devondale Electrical’s Newton Abbot branch in Olympus Business Park, following the appointment of a new branch manager.

Darren Foot, who was previously based at Devondale’s Torquay branch, has been promoted to the manager role at Newton Abbot. Darren brings with him a wealth of experience gleaned during his 23 years in the electrical trade.

He said: “This opportunity came along quite soon after I’d joined Devondale, and it seemed a really positive move to make. “It’s a great team at the branch, and we’re already working well together.”

Martin Mills has also moved to the branch from head office in Exeter to pursue a more hands-on role, and John Atyeo is now in a counter role after previously working for the company as a driver. John’s own career includes time in the hotel industry. Account Manager Steve Morton and delivery driver Tony Phillips make up the team of five at the branch.

Devondale Managing Director, Paul Wood said: “We now have a very strong team in the Newton Abbot branch, able to give the very best service to local electricians, including competitive prices.

“With our delivery service between branches, we can get any supplies not in stock to our customers by 9am the following day.”

Devondale now has a branch network of 11 across the South West, having recently opened its first two branches in Dorset.
