Citizens Advice Exeter raises £700 for justice for all

A team of walkers from leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, raised £725 when they took part in the Exeter Legal Walk on the 6th June.

The Exeter Legal Walk celebrates the continued work of the legal profession and advice sector in protecting people’s rights and promoting equal access to justice for all. The Legal Walk is one of many similar events which run across England and Wales raising funds for free local legal advice charities.

Appeal for witnesses to fatal crash in Sidmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A3052 at Elms Hill in Sidmouth on Friday 28 July 2017.

The driver of a Nissan Skyline, a man in his 20s, sustained fatal injuries as a result of his car colliding with a BMW travelling in the opposite direction. The BMW then collided with a Peugeot.

Emergency services were called around 7.45pm to reports of a collision involving a black Nissan Skyline, a silver BMW and a Peugeot. A fourth vehicle was also badly damaged by debris from the collision.

Mother and two children die in Devon crash

Police have confirmed that two children and a woman, believed to be the mother, have died as a result of the collision this morning [Monday 31 July] on the A361 near Lankey Junction, Barnstaple.

Emergency services were called at 8.25am to the A361, near Aller Cross at Barnstaple following a two vehicle collision between a car and a lorry.

A road closure has been put on at West Buckland junction and the Lankey junction on the A361 whilst officers conduct scene investigations. The closure is likely to be on all day and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

For the second year running, Educated Recruitment hiked an impressive 19 miles on the Templer Way Walk for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday. Despite the very wet weather, the team walked from Haytor Rock to Shaldon in just under 5 in a half hours. Economic and political uncertainty clouding SW commercial property outlook

Occupier demand has moderated in the retail segment of the South West commercial property market, but conditions in the industrial and office sectors remain firm, according to the Q2 2017 RICS UK Commercial Property Market Survey.

South West occupier demand strengthened during Q2, following only modest increases in each of the last two quarters with 16% of respondents reporting an increase. Sector breakdown shows flat demand for retail space, offset by reasonable growth (net balance of +26%) in demand for industrial property.

Five members from Newton St Cyres Young Farmers Club have completed their 80 mile challenge to help celebrate the clubs 80th Anniversary.

The clubs youngest members Chloe Eyles and Katie Davie chose to complete their challenge across a month to fit between school work and other activities. Chloe swam the 80 miles from 21st June to 21st July, whilst Katie ran the distance.
