A new report published by the British Red Cross and Aviva shows that the majority of people in Devon want to help if disaster strikes in their community but would not know what to do. (1)

The report, ‘When Crisis Hits: mobilising kindness in our communities’, published today, reveals that nine in ten people (90%) in Devon say that if an emergency happened in their community they would want to get involved, yet nearly half (45%) of people would not know what to do if a disaster struck.

Michelmores has announced the promotions of Paul Beanland, Senior Associate in the Real Estate team, and Tom Stenner-Evans, Senior Associate in the Employment team, who have both been made partner at the firm.

Preferred options identified for new Okehampton railway station

A feasibility study into a new railway station at Okehampton has identified two preferred options.

The study was commissioned by Devon County Council to inform discussions between Great Western Railway and the Department for Transport in the ongoing efforts to develop plans for the introduction of a service.

A nationwide campaign launches today, calling on victims of unwanted sexual behaviour to report offences to police, no matter how small.

Every Report Builds a Picture highlights how multiple reports from different people can help BTP ‘build a picture’ of offenders – even if some of those cases don’t make it to court.
