Andy and the Odd Socks have today announced the 2020 tour dates and album pre-order bundle package. Fans can now pre-order the new Who's In The Odd Socks? album through the band's official store and receive exclusive pre-sale access to meet and greet tickets from the band's upcoming tour. Stagecoach South West have released their Christmas and New Year bus schedule detailing services over the holiday season.

To coincide with the start of late night shopping in Exeter, Stagecoach South West will be offering a '5 for a fiver' ticket, allowing five people to enjoy return travel on the Honiton Road Park and Ride for just £5 on Thursdays. In celebration of National Tree Week, there will be tree planting in conjunction with the Tiverton Tree Team at Knightshayes this November to help boost the impressive tree collection that calls Knightshayes its home.

Some of the latest innovations to help people live independently in their own homes will be showcased at a special event in Exeter this week (w/c 25 November).

Devon County Council and its NHS partners, in partnership with HFT (a national charity supporting adults with learning disabilities), is inviting people to the “Smarthouse” event in Exeter tomorrow (Tuesday 26 November), Wednesday 27 November and Thursday 28 November.

The Smarthouse is an interactive flat which uses technology that can provide care and support to enable people to live safely at home.

National Trust announces first beaver reintroductions

The National Trust has announced plans to release Eurasian beavers at two sites in the south of England next spring to help with flood management and to improve biodiversity.

The beaver reintroductions will be the first made by the conservation charity, linking to its ambitions to create priority habitats for nature and to increase the diversity of species and wildlife numbers on the land in its care.

Record number of schools legging it to Lapland to reduce carbon and congestion

A record number of schools across Devon are taking part in this year’s Leg it to Lapland challenge.

Starting on Monday (25 November), over 5,000 children from 20 primary schools in the county will be collecting ‘leg miles’ for every human powered journey they make to and from school, in a bid to be the first to travel 2,100 miles - the equivalent distance from Devon to Lapland. Walking, cycling and scooting all count towards the goal.
