Teignbridge is backing a new campaign which aims to help people better understand the ‘4Cs’ of food hygiene: Chilling, Cooking, Cleaning and avoiding Cross-Contamination.

Tom Pryor from Lynpstone is taking on an incredible charity challenge in aid of Hospiscare.

Tom (20) and three friends [Alec Bain, Sam Prestwich and James Prestwich], all aged under 21 are embarking on the bike ride of a lifetime on 3rd July and cycling the length of Europe from North to South [Arctic Circle to Southern Spain].

More than 100 people from the South West’s business community attended a networking event hosted by the Exeter office of property consultancy JLL. The evening event was held last week at JLL's offices in The Senate, Southernhay Gardens. Millwey community lunch proves a hit for all ages

A recent community lunch organised by East Devon District Council’s Landlord Services team at the request of the charity HALFF (Health and Local Food for Families proved a tremendous success with 25 young people from Millwey, Axminster, their families and sheltered tenants, who sat down to eat together after a morning of arts, crafts and cooking.

A stamp collection dating back to 1979 has been donated to the South West Police Heritage Trust.

Following the 150th anniversary in 1979 of the formation of the Metropolitan Police, the Post Office issued a set of four stamps to the Force to celebrate their anniversary. This was followed by Devon and Cornwall Constabulary producing their own commemorative handstamp for use on the same day.

Planning permission granted for light refreshment kiosk on zig-zag path following keen public interest in a facility to replace former café.

Exeter projects celebrate £38,000 in new grants from BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need has awarded a total of £38,795 in new funding to two local groups working with disadvantaged children and young people in Exeter.

This is the third time that BBC Children in Need has awarded new funding to projects across the UK this year, with further funding to be allocated throughout 2017.

This latest boost of funding, from the charity’s Small Grants programme, brings the total currently invested in the area to more than £230,000.

The Young Pretenders Theatre Company Youth Arts Festival

Exeter’s up-and-coming youth theatre company The Young Pretenders (TYP) has created a brand new youth arts festival for young creatives from all across Devon.
