Police have said they are dealing with an ongoing firearms incident in Castle Street, Barnstaple. The situation began shortly after 4pm after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man inside a property. A 20 year-old man from Coventry has been arrested in connection with the murder of Stephen Crook.
The man who remains in police custody, is the fifth man to be arrested in the investigation.
So far four others have been charged with the murder of Crook, 43 on Alphington Road on 21 November.
They are: Steve Webster, 40 from Okehampton, Ryan singleton, 25 and Darren Twigger, 39 from Coventry and an unnamed 17 year-old boy also from Coventry.
All four are due to appear in Exeter Crown Court on 19 December.
The wreckage of a helicopter which crashed into a busy pub in Glasgow has been removed by rescue services.
At least nine people are thought to have been killed when the helicopter crashed onto The Clutha around 10:30 on Friday night.
