Stagecoach South West has this year, strengthened its partnerships with Devon County Council and Exeter City Council in relation to the joint efforts to prevent and tackle antisocial behaviour in and around Exeter’s bus station, improving safety and the overall customer experience by providing greater visibility and linking its CCTV system to the city-wide network.

Local independent house builder Devonshire Homes has raised an incredible £7,295.67 for its charity partner, Children’s Hospice South West.

Devonshire Homes welcomed over 120 guests from across the housing and construction sector to its first Charity Golf Day at Downes Crediton Golf Club. Teams of four enjoyed a day on the greens which included 18-holes and a variety of competitions such as the longest drive, challenge the Pro and closest to the pin. Brave Elodie raises £800 for RD&E Cystic Fibrosis team

Two-year-old Elodie Clark has helped to raise an incredible £800 for the Cystic Fibrosis team at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she is treated for the condition.

Elodie, who sat on the back of her dad’s bike and sang the entire route, cycled for 18 miles alongside family and friends from Dawlish to Exeter and back to raise money for the department where she has been treated since birth.

Organisers of a popular jobs fair are looking for businesses and organisations to take part in the next event this September. The latest jobs fair is being held at Exeter Corn Exchange on 6 September and is being organised in partnership between Exeter City Council and Jobcentre Plus. The last event in March was a big success, attracting more than 1,000 job seekers and 65 businesses. Sally Payne, 43 from Exeter, has been on an unwanted roller coaster ride since 2013. Whilst working in London as a nanny, Sally discovered she had breast cancer. At the time she was only 38. Despite surgeries, chemo and radiotherapy, Sally now has secondary cancer. Local charity Hospiscare is supporting her in managing her illness whilst she continues to do the job she loves.
