Two-year-old Elodie Clark has helped to raise an incredible £800 for the Cystic Fibrosis team at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she is treated for the condition.

Elodie, who sat on the back of her dad’s bike and sang the entire route, cycled for 18 miles alongside family and friends from Dawlish to Exeter and back to raise money for the department where she has been treated since birth.

The money raised will be used to support educational and research activities in the team. As well as this it will help to fund the purchase of equipment that helps support both children and adults with Cystic Fibrosis when they are admitted to hospital.

Jade Clark, Elodie’s mum, said: "It's something we all wanted to do to show our appreciation to all the hard work and support they have given us over the last 2 years since Elodie has been born. Elodie has had a few admissions and they were fantastic with her and us as a family, they are always on the end of the phone when we need them and the care she has been given has been brilliant. I don't know how we would have got through the last few years without their kindness and support."

Dr Beth Enderby, Consultant Paediatrician for Cystic Fibrosis said: “On behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis team we would like to acknowledge how grateful we are for the efforts put in to raise money for our Cystic Fibrosis Research Charity Fund.  This was clearly a fantastic effort from all those who organised and took part in the cycling event.”
