Public transport system failing the oldest and most vulnerable in society says new report by The International Longevity Centre – UK and Age UK

Take a voyage of discovery along the River Axe with new Canoe Safari events being held this summer by East Devon District Council's Countryside team.

Qualified instructors from the Axe Vale Canoe Club lead the guided trips, along with our Countryside rangers, who will share their knowledge of the river's wildlife.

To complete the perfect summer evening experience, there will be a riverside picnic included after the safari.

Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil hosted the RSPCA annual reception at the House of Commons on Tuesday 17th June. Only 38 per cent of food and drink cans are being recycled by Exeter households, it has been revealed.

The shocking statistics have been released by Exeter City Council in an attempt to encourage people to recycle more as part of National Recycle Week 2015 (22-28 June).

In Exeter, on average, 20 per cent of waste that goes in the city's grey rubbish bins could have been placed in green recycling bins. Research carried out last year showed that of all waste and recycling collected in the city, only 38 per cent of tins and cans were being recycled.
