Chrissie Tarbitt, founder of Integrated Wellbeing, a Topsham-based health and wellbeing business, was crowned “Rising Star/Woman To Watch” in the national Women Inspiring Women Awards 2015 at their annual awards ceremony in Birmingham on 13th June.

The Women Inspiring Women Awards, now in their 4th year and sponsored by a leading national network for female entrepreneurs, seek to find and celebrate fabulous female role models – those who bring out the absolute best in others and make a difference in their respective communities.

“I was on a short-list of eight very strong candidates from across the UK and  hadn’t even thought about preparing an acceptance speech. I’m absolutely  thrilled that the judges recognised the importance of spreading the wellbeing  message to a wider audience. Winning an award in my first year will spur me  on even more to help people reduce the ‘killer’ stress that is becoming the  accepted norm.”

Chrissie spent more than 20 years working in an international corporate environment, rising to European Director level in a large multi-national, before retraining as a counsellor, hypnotherapist, yoga teacher and mindfulness coach. She has witnessed first-hand the current epidemic of people feeling burnt out, stressed and anxious as they try to juggle the increasing number of responsibilities that come with our fast-paced, modern-day lifestyle.

Integrated Wellbeing, which has been trading for less than a year, run wellbeing clinics both in Exeter city centre and at the Ocean Physio & Rehab clinic in Woodbury, and residential retreats in Topsham.
