Choir’s season finale - an intimate ‘Evening at the Opera’

Exeter Philharmonic Choir has a special ‘Evening at the Opera” planned to conclude its 2023/24 season on a high. On the evening of 18th May, the Choir - accompanied by two rising stars of the professional opera world - will transport concert goers to the opera houses of Europe for a sparkling evening of arias, duets and choruses.

The season finale at St. David’s Church in Exeter will be a comparatively intimate affair with just 200 tickets available. The £25 ticket price includes interval drinks and canapes.

The UK’s favourite singing show, The X Factor, is back and on the lookout for the next big breakout music stars with the audition team back on the road, scouring the country for budding hopefuls to take part in series 16 of the hit music show.

No fewer than 15 professional wind players, all recent graduates from London’s world-renowned Royal Academy of Music, will join Exeter Philharmonic Choir on 10th November to perform in Bruckner’s splendid Mass in E minor at Exeter Cathedral.

Bulgarian singing star on flying visit to Exeter for charity concert in aid of Unicef

A rising star of the operatic world, Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova, will be coming to Exeter at the end of the month to take part in a special charity concert in aid of UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.

Currently singing in Vienna at the famous State Opera, Svetlina will be flying to Exeter for just thirty-six hours to take part in the concert at Southernhay United Reformed Church on Saturday 29th September.
