Make willow items with an expert from Windrush Willow

Come and learn how to weave with willow with an expert from Windrush Willow.

Learn how to make mats and vases out of willow and take home your own unique pieces.

The course is suitable for beginners as Richard from Windrush Willow will talk you through how to make everything and provide you with all the equipment you require.

The course takes place in the Reed Base in the heart of the beautiful Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve.

Please bring a packed lunch. Hot drinks, biscuits and fresh fruit...

Get that festive feeling with the Countryside Rangers at Seaton Wetlands

Make a beautiful Christmas wreath using natural materials for your front door.

Follow instruction from the Countryside Ranger to create your handmade wreath in the heart of the beautiful Seaton Wetlands.

All materials will be provided.

Enjoy mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas carols as you get creative.

Living Willow structure maintenance

During this course you will learn how to plant and maintain a Living Willow Structure.

This course is suitable for beginners (children over eight welcome). All tools and materials will be provided. Work with Richard, an expert from Windrush Willow  to develop your knowledge of working with willow.

This course will run outdoors whatever the weather!

Good mobility is needed for this course.

Hot drinks and some refreshments will be available during this course.

Hedgelaying day course

Learn to lay a hedge in the Devon style

At the start of the autumn learn the skills required to lay a hedge in the traditional Devon style.

A full day practical course with the Countryside Ranger.

Cygnet Summer School

Cygnet Theatre in Exeter is running its annual Summer School August 1st – 5th

Open to anyone interested in performing (aged 16+) the 5 day course will use Shakespeare and Contemporary texts to explore approaches to acting and characterisation.
