A team of walkers from leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, is joining forces with the local legal profession and advice sector on Monday 5 June 2017 to take part in the Exeter Legal Walk.

PEOPLE across Devon are being invited to take on Cancer Research UK’s latest fundraising challenge, Walk All Over Cancer, to help beat cancer sooner.
The charity is calling on men and women to sign up now to walk 10,000 steps every day throughout the month of June and raise money through sponsorship.
Based on the average person’s strides, 10,000 steps equates to approximately five miles or eight kilometres per day, and adopting small lifestyle changes can go a long way in making the goal feel achievable.

A walking and cycling trail is being launched in Cranbrook next month (January) to help local residents explore the area.
The “Discover Cranbrook: The Long Orchard Trail” is being established by Devon County Council, East Devon District Council, Cranbrook Town Council and Cranbrook New Community Partners Consortium to encourage people to get active and find out what’s on their doorstep.
Starting at the entrance of the Country Park at Long Orchard, the trail includes five posts which feature different rubbings – four around the park and a fifth at Cranbrook Train Station....

A walking treasure hunt and barbecue, to raise funds for new gymnastics equipment for Honiton Gymnastics Club, is taking place at Honiton Rugby Club on Saturday 21 May - and everyone is welcome. A popular stretch of the South West Coast Path has been reopened ahead of the main walking season, with a new route through Natural England’s Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve.
The Path was closed and diverted inland almost two years ago at the western end of the Undercliffs, after an ongoing landslip resulted in the area becoming unsafe for walkers. Since then, there has been extensive negotiations with landowners and advice from geologists to create a new safe route through one of the most challenging and unusual sections of the entire South West Coast...
