The Jolly Good Jaunt on Sunday 29th October will again give walkers the opportunity to take part and raise vital funds for local charity Hospiscare.
The continued success of the Jolly Good Jaunt owes much to the generous support of local businesses and groups including the Deer Park County House Hotel for the splendid venue, the Honiton Agricultural Association for the use of their showground, Denhay Farms, Devon Hog Roast & Tesco`s Honiton for the delicious lunch. Go Outdoors in Exeter are kindly allowing a 10% discount to walkers who produce their registration letter.
Tesco Honiton have always played a massive part in promoting and supporting the Jaunt since its inception & this year are looking to enter of team of 30 staff members. “The Tesco Honiton team are personally very proud of the work we have done for Hospiscare. We see the Jolly Good Jaunt as a staple of our community work, we look forward to it every year”, says Duncan Sheridan-Shaw manager and local councillor.
Entering for the first time this year are the staff members at the new Premier Inn and their doggies. Within this team is Jen Beckenham, who has already demonstrated her enthusiasm for the charity by sky diving 15,000ft!
For those that can`t quite manage 7.5 miles, there is a new Jolly Good Nature Trail, offering children fun activities, giving the opportunity to explore and learn about nature. Entry to the Nature Trail is £10 per child (age 5-13 years) and £5 for accompanying adults. Spaces are limited and it is recommended you book your time slot in advance by calling 01392 688020.
Having completed either the jaunt or the nature trail, the Moonshine Serenaders, a novelty jug swing band, will entertain whilst everyone enjoys a well-deserved lunch. To take part visit www.jollygoodjaunt.co.uk.
