The Pilgrims travel to the East Devon coast for tonight's Edenvale Turf Devon St Lukes Challenge Cup 2nd Round clash with Exmouth Town. Though the visitors from League Two are likely to field a young side, the tie poses a tough task for the SWPL Premier side who are facing a club six tiers above themselves. The New York Times have praised the Exeter Chiefs in a glowing article crediting the Heineken Cup side as 'the first outsider in a generation to truly crack the closed circle at the top of the English game".

More teams needed for New Futsal League

Exeter’s first ever futsal league has got off to a flying start - so much so that a new league is starting next month after much interest was shown in the short taster league, which finishes soon.

The competition has been set up to raise awareness of the benefits of playing futsal as opposed to traditional five-a-side football, and the Football in the Community Charity is looking for more five-a-side teams to join the men’s league in Exeter.

Exeter Netball coach shortlisted for national prize

Hilary Edwards, of the Exeter and District Netball League, has been shortlisted as one of three final candidates for the Sports Coach UK Children's Coach of the Year 2012.

400 nominations were received and Hilary has been selected out of all of those candidates across 35 different sports to represent netball.
