This is our fifth annual CLIC for Christmas concert raising funds for CLIC Sargent. Once again, we will be hosting a celebration of Christmas in the beautiful Exeter Cathedral and will be joined by one of the winners of our Devon Schools Choir Competition, Exmouth Community College. In addition we are again thrilled to be welcoming the CLIC Sargent singers, a group of exceptionally talented young people who have all benefitted from the support of CLIC Sargent and will be sharing their stories with us as well as their beautiful music.

Isn't it fantastic that there are a number of singing groups in and around the Exeter area?

Is it any wonder that more people access a local singing group when singing is part of our popular tv culture eg., The X Factor, The Eurovision Song Contest, The Voice, Pop Idol, Fame Academy, Popstars, Over the Rainbow, Last Choir Standing, Any Dream Will Do, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, All Together Now ... to name but a few.

The X-Factor comes to Exeter

The UK’s favourite singing show, The X Factor, is back and on the lookout for the next big breakout music stars with the audition team back on the road, scouring the country for budding hopefuls to take part in series 16 of the hit music show.

The audition tour will be a nationwide search and is coming to the Guildhall Shopping Centre in Exeter on Saturday 2 February. Auditions take place between 9am and 6pm and it couldn’t be simpler to apply.

Cathedral will resonate to a double chorus and 15 wind instruments for Exeter Philharmonic Choir’s November concert

No fewer than 15 professional wind players, all recent graduates from London’s world-renowned Royal Academy of Music, will join Exeter Philharmonic Choir on 10th November to perform in Bruckner’s splendid Mass in E minor at Exeter Cathedral.

The work has an interesting scoring - double choir accompanied by flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, and trombone - guaranteed to produce a rich sonority in the superb acoustics of the Cathedral.

Bulgarian singing star on flying visit to Exeter for charity concert in aid of Unicef

A rising star of the operatic world, Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova, will be coming to Exeter at the end of the month to take part in a special charity concert in aid of UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.

Currently singing in Vienna at the famous State Opera, Svetlina will be flying to Exeter for just thirty-six hours to take part in the concert at Southernhay United Reformed Church on Saturday 29th September. 

Broadway Baby

Broadway Baby is a fundraising cabaret evening full of wonderful musical theatre show tunes. Raising money for local charity FORCE it will feature songs from classic musicals including Les Miserables and Chicago and also from new Broadway smash hits Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen.

Sung by a talented group of local women, Broadway Baby guarantees to be a night that shouldn’t be missed.

Carols in the Cathedral

Exeter Philharmonic Choir brings an early note of Christmas cheer to Exeter Cathedral - a repertoire of carols performed with Exeter Brass and Devon County Junior Choir.

Over two evenings, the Choir will provide the essential soundtrack to the Christmas festivities.

Conducted by Howard Ionascu, with a retiring collection in support of Farms for City Children.

Half-Term West End Workshop

A half-term workshop featuring West End performer Victoria Farley (Les Miserables, Wicked).

This workshop features three West End shows (Les Miserable, Hairspray and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and gives young performers aged 6-18 years the opportunity to develop their acting, dancing, singing and performing skills.

Cost is just £30 per person (sibling discount is available).
