The people and businesses of Devon are rallying behind their County Show following the cancellation of the third day last year.
Advance ticket sales are up on last year, there will be a vast array of trade stands and livestock exhibitors will be coming out in force.
The 120th Devon County Show will be held on May 21-23 at Westpoint, Exeter, and promises to be the biggest event in the county’s year.

Hounds First Sighthound Rescue will be holding a Family Dog Show at Westpoint in Exeter on Saturday (25 April 2015) from 10am-5pm. Showing is from11am.
The charity has been chosen as one of a small number of charities to hold an event after entering a competition to mark Westpoint’s 25th anniversary.
Paws for Thought is an event for the whole family. Entry to the event will be free, but there will be donation buckets on the gate.

Exeter Northcott Theatre has launched a club for people who’d love to go the theatre if they had someone to go with.
The Go Together Club is free to join and makes the whole experience of a theatre trip more enjoyable than going alone.
The club is the idea of the Northcott’s Development Committee, on which Tricia Cotton and Michael Terry serve as volunteers. It was trialled with a limited number of performances last autumn and proved so successful that the number of shows is being increased for the Spring 2015 Season.

The show, performed by Nick Wood, will compare events described in tales from Roald Dahl’s childhood with characters in his books. He suggests how we all have something within ourselves to write about and that these stories should be told. The show will include the use of puppets inspired by the illustrations of Quentin Blake, and some audience participation.
