David Fursdon elected new President of Devon County Show

The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Devon, David Fursdon, as President of the 2020 Devon County Show.

David has been a member of the DCAA for some forty years and was elected at the Show’s AGM which took place at the end of January. He takes up the reins from Sir Harry Studholme Bt who was Show President in 2019.

David is looking forward to putting the county’s agricultural capabilities firmly on the priority list for the 125th Show: ‘The Devon County Show is an ideal platform for the agricultural community to...

QE’s Theatre Academy is getting ready to dazzle and delight local audiences with its latest theatrical spectacular; a very special high school version of the world famous musical, Chicago.

Set in 1920’s Jazz-age Chicago the musical is based on a 1926 play of the same time, by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, about actual criminals she reported on.

You don't have to be a bottle blond to join the outrageous Circus of Horrors but you may be asked to fit in a bottle.

The Circus of Horrors were looking for a new Pickled Person to join their show for their performances in Exeter Corn Exchange on the 22nd June.

All applicants thinking of auditioning will have to fit into a bottle measuring only 2' tall & 18'' in diameter, they must not suffer from claustrophobia and be able to squeeze into tight spaces.

David Wilson Homes is celebrating a special award for its efforts to embrace wildlife at Tarka Ridge in Yelland.
