Comedian Mike Osman is bringing his frighteningly realistic portrayal of the leader of the free world to the county in aid of Comic Relief.

The Capital radio presenter has appeared on such shows as Copy Cats, The Generation Game, Noel's House Party and Big Break.

He will be headlining a show at the Watermark in Ivybridge on Tuesday, March 12, which will also showcase three top local comedians – Louis Burgess, Suzy Bennett and Luke Honnoraty.

SW insurer to open the laughter lines for Red Nose Day

South West insurance firm Cornish Mutual has once again been selected to be the region’s call centre for Red Nose Day 2017. On Friday 24th March, Comic Relief will be taking over screens across the nation asking people to ‘make your laugh matter’.

The Cornish Mutual call centre at its Truro headquarters will represent the South West on the big night, providing a focal point for the region’s fundraising efforts as well as handling donation calls from across the country. Specsavers store raises £520 for Red Nose Day

Exeter Specsavers store has raised a fantastic £520 for Red Nose day.

Lillian-Evangelia Agelis, store director of Specsavers Exeter, said: "We enjoyed raising money for Red Nose Day as it’s such a great cause. All staff members took part and encouraged all of our customers to join in the fun!"

EDDC staff raise £400 for Comic Relief

Staff at East Devon District Council raised just over £400 for Comic Relief last week.

The total came from a dress down day, cake sales and a Red Nose Day sweepstake.

COMPLIMENTARY selfie sticks are to be made readily available at The Magdalen Chapter this Red Nose Day. The Exeter hotel want to encourage guests and staff to capture amusing photos while ‘making their faces funny for money.’

On Friday March 13, guests and staff can take pictures of themselves pulling silly faces using the selfie sticks to raise money for Comic Relief. The complimentary selfie sticks will be readily available in the hotel for comical happy snappers to use. The hotel is then encouraging these images to be shared on social media using the hashtag #ChapterSelfie....

Aspect Windows joins Kirstie Allsopp in the Comic Relief Twitter campaign to raise £1million

Aspect Windows staff will don their red noses on Friday 15 March as they attempt to raise money for Comic Relief 2013 with a bake sale at their Exeter showroom.

Aspect Windows has joined property guru Kirstie Allsopp in the Twitter Million campaign, a challenge on the social networking site to raise £1 million for the charity, and hopes to raise £100 for the cause.

The company has invited the other businesses around Trade City, off Sidmouth Road, and hopes for a good turnout in the name of charity.

Exeter Chiefs and Exeter College students get baking for Red Nose Day

Three members of the Exeter Chiefs took on the challenge to bake and decorate 1,000 cup cakes to show their support for Red Nose Day 2013, and inspire everyone to get out the cake mix to raise money.
