Princesshay unveils Charity Christmas Tree Festival

The lights are switched on at Princesshay’s Charity Christmas Tree Festival as part of its first late night shopping evening on Thursday 21st November.

The Lord Mayor officially opened the Festival of charity trees located on Roman Walk and announced that Multiple Sclerosis Society charity won best dressed tree.

The illuminated festival features 36 trees decorated by various local charities including Living Options, Princesshay’s charity of the year.

The trees will be on display for visitors to enjoy up until Christmas Eve.

Princesshay has announced a series of late-night shopping experiences and festive guests over the magical period for the whole family. From Father Christmas to illuminated entertainment, Princesshay will be taken over by festive joy this Christmas.

Princesshay unveils all-new Christmas lights

Princesshay will be transformed this Christmas with the unveiling of its brand-new festive lighting scheme on Saturday 16th November.

The new light installation will include a large stag figure located in the centre of Princesshay, giant diamonds suspended in the air in Bampfylde Lane, projections onto shop fronts and a life-size throne next to the city’s historical Roman Wall. Princesshay supports Purple Tuesday

Princesshay is pleased to announce it is supporting Purple Tuesday, taking place on 12th November, committing to change to improve accessibility and experience to all. Purple Tuesday has been developed by disability organisation Purple; which works with businesses to improve the customer experience for disabled people.

Air Marketing Reign Victorious in Children's Charity Sports Day

Last week, national children’s charity CHICKS challenged local Exeter businesses to compete in their Superstar Games. A first for the charity, the games were held in Princesshay in Exeter City Centre and sponsored by Ashley House Printing, with teams headed up by Smart Estate Agents, Attention Media, KTA, Air Marketing and a mixed team of people from various businesses. The teams went head to head in classic heats of the three-legged race, egg and spoon, obstacle course and a Shrek-themed relay in an effort to raise local awareness and funds for the Devon-based charity.

Family carers to be celebrated in Exeter city artwork

Local artist Leo Jamelli has collaborated with the University of Exeter to create a piece of emotional public artwork to be displayed in City Centre.

The large-scale artwork, created to celebrate carers, will be shown between 8.00pm and Midnight on both 20th and 21st September. It will appear on the historic St Catherine's Almshouse, on the site of the iconic ruin in the Princesshay shopping precinct.

Do you have a head for heights?

Then head to Princesshay Green where you can have a go on a mobile rock climbing wall. The wall will be manned by 2 qualified instructors who will talk you through the steps to make it to the top!

Open 11am – 3pm. Last entry 2:30pm.

All children must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).

For those who like to keep their feet firmly on the ground there will be Hula Hoop Spintacular workshops taking place at intervals during the day. Angie will be spinning into action at 11:00, 12:30 and 2:00pm.

Who can be the first to finish or get round with the least amount of putts?

A maximum of 5 goes allowed on each hole per person at busy times.

Princesshay announces Summer of Fun for City

From the 31st July – 23rd August, Princesshay Square will be transformed into Princesshay Green with a series of free family fun pop up events every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From climbing walls to mini golf and dinosaurs, a different activity will pop up each week to keep families and shoppers entertained during the upcoming school holidays.

As well as summer menus from Princesshay’s eateries, visitors will be able to take part in the following line up of free events from 11am-3pm on each day:
