From 26th November right up until Christmas Eve, Father Christmas will be taking up residence in Princesshay in his cosy, bespoke festive lodge on Bedford Street.

There is no need to book in advance, families can enjoy an impromptu, ‘on the day’ visit with each paying child receiving a Christmas keepsake and the chance to have their photo taken with the man in red.

On the 17th and 18th December Makaton signed visits to Father Christmas will also be available – no booking required.

Beach bar returns to Princesshay for summer

Princesshay will see its pop-up Mojito Beach bar return this summer from 26th May to 29th August in Princesshay Square.

Paperchase to open in Princesshay

Princesshay is set to welcome international stationery store, Paperchase, back to Exeter. The iconic brand which stocks beautiful stationery, design-led cards, gifts and wrapping paper will open later this month, next to Lush.

Princesshay announces CEDA as charity of the year

Princesshay’s Charity of the Year has been announced as CEDA, a Devon based charity that provides learning and social opportunities to disabled people across the county.

CEDA work with disabled people across Devon to help them become visible and valued members of society. Its vision is to become the provider of choice for high quality, person-centered support for disabled people.

Margoux to open in Princesshay

Margoux Restaurant and Wine Bar will open in Princesshay on 25thMarch 2022, the latest addition to the centre’s line-up of eateries.

Margoux is relocating to Princesshay Square, next to Coal Kitchen, offering restaurant dining and adding a new cocktail lounge and a sun-trap terrace overlooking Exeter Cathedral for al fresco dining.

Margoux uses westcountry suppliers for its international menu that includes lunch, dinner and Sunday roast.

‘Shop and drop’ to recycle and raise funds for charity

Visitors to Exeter city centre can now recycle plastic bottle tops and tubs at a brand-new drop-off point in Princesshay Shopping Centre and help contribute to a more circular economy.

Leading south west recycling and waste management firm, DCW, has partnered with the popular shopping destination to run its Recycle & Raise scheme all year round. The plastic recycling scheme which asks the public to donate plastic tubs and bottle tops to raise funds for Dartmoor Zoo and mental health charity Mind, was previously operated by DCW only over the festive period.

Princesshay is inviting charities to apply to become its Charity of the Year for 2022 – 2023. From April 2022, the chosen Charity of the Year will be able to use Princesshay’s busy outdoor event space to fundraise to visitors throughout the year.
