Appeal for witnesses in double fatal North Devon accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men in their 20s died in a fatal road traffic collision in north Devon.

Just after 8am on Friday 12 October, officers and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle collision on an unclassified road that leads from the A361 at South Molton to North Molton.

Police dog Eddie and his handler, Police Constable Colin Harper located a vulnerable, elderly missing man this morning in the Wadebridge area. The man aged 90 years had been reported missing by his wife at 6.50pm yesterday evening after he failed to return from a walk. He was last seen at 2.00pm when he set off on his walk on the Camel trail. Following a search he was located at around 10.50am this morning lying in a field. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating the circumstances of the arrest of a man in Exeter city centre yesterday who is in a serious condition in hospital.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance at the junction of High Street and Paris Street shortly before 11 am yesterday. Police attended, resulting in the 32-year old man being restrained and arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in an Exeter pub by another man who was described as looking like pop star Olly Murs. The incident took place at around 10.50pm on Wednesday 12 September in The Imperial pub in New North Road. There was an altercation between two men and when the victim tried to intervene the suspect punched him to the floor and then kicked him to the face.
