Following the Chiefs' clinical performance against Cardiff last weekend and today's narrow defeat to Glasgow, they currently sit at the top of Pool 2 and are poised to capitalise on their second shot at success in Europe. Police in Totnes have appealed for information following a serious and unprovoked assault in the town. The incident took place between 2030 hours and midnight on Friday, 12 October at the upper end of the High Street in an area close to Cistern Street. After leaving a nearby pub for a cigarette, a 26-year-old man was alledgedly pushed to the floor and then repeatedly kicked in the face and body. Yesterday Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service received over 90 weather related calls. These including over 20 calls to vehicles in water, 29 calls involving domestic flooding, one horse rescue and further calls (including duplicate calls) to report flooding.
The Met Office are predicting further periods of heavy rain today and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are urging people to be aware of possible flooding and reminding drivers not to risk their lives by driving through any flood water.
